In todays lesson we analysed two student-made Film Noir openings(Desirable and The Dark Passion). The main focus of our analysis was the use of camera, voiceover and femme fatale. In Desirable the type of camera shots they used included; close ups, panning, extreme close up and medium shots. For the voiceover it gave us a bit of tension by the accent and depth of their voice, it didn't have many American accents as i would've expected, they gave off a more of a film noir tone and their film noir language. The Femme Fatale gave off a mysterious vibe with her reflective red lipstick.
In The Dark Passion the different camera shots they had used included; panning, close ups, medium shots and extreme close ups. In the voiceover they gave off lots of tension by the depth of their voice, they had an american accent it just wasn't that noticeable, they gave lots of film noir tone and language. For Femme Fatale gave off a type off vibe, sort of like a mystery that hasn't been solved
